Moxham - Lifestyle Shoot

GUYYSSSS ... I am SO excited to show you these images! I've been dreaming and hoping and praying to give people REAL photos - like of their real true life - and its really happening!!! I have such sweet photos of my own family that were taken in our place, in our regular clothes, doing our regular thing and those photos - they just mean the world to me. I know I'll be able to look back on them and remember life as it TRULY was! So that's what I want for others.

I was recently spilling my guts about this dream and some of the inspiration I'd had, at a church event to sweet Alison. She was totally tracking with me, saying that she'd actually been wanting to plan for some new photos of her and her sweet husband, Jordan. So we talked about them - what they like, how they spend their time and we planned for an awesome afternoon at their place with my camera.

It was so exciting for me to see how excited they were for these photos. I did my best to guide them while also allowing them special time with each other. I had them ask each other questions or make confessions and relive memories. They read through a journal they kept when they first married and bought their house. They brought the family together, including all 6 of their sweet animal children, and snuggled on the couch. My favorite moment was watching them sit on the front stoop of their house and each take a moment to pray for their family's time in that home. This is what dreams are made of - love, family, coffee, a blanket on a cold afternoon and someone to snuggle close with and call your own.

Fall-Winter Style // Friday Favorites

I  think we've all picked up on the drastic weather changes in this last week here in PA - we are definitely headed for winter temps people! Ew. Winter is not my favorite season, BUT there are some things I like to enjoy during this chilly time - cozy-ing up, warm coffee, blankets and comfy clothes. Speaking of which, I thought I'd share some of my favorite trends for this winter's fashion. Nothing fancy - just classic, comfy cozy.

1. Plaid

This year I am beyond obsessed with this pattern. It is a little out of control. But seriously it is so timeless. Put it under a sweater or pair it with a furry vest. You canNOT go wrong.

2. Cable Knit Sweaters

Since we are talking timeless ... it doesn't get much more classic than this. When it comes to winter, I prefer to be warm, even if it means sacrificing a little fashion. But I'm so glad I have a piece like this that keeps me warm and allows for a little style.

3. L.L. Bean Boots and thick warm socks

After the snow we got last year, I'm determined to be more prepared. I can feel cute AND ready to take on the elements in these booties.

Like I said, nothing fancy, just classic, comfy cozy.
